NMC warns Medical colleges 

Thestatementstatedthatmedicalfacultiesthatdonotcomplywith the ruleswill face penalties such as fines,quotareductions and registrationsuspension. In a reportpublished on February 8, the boardsaid the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations(PGMER)2023stated:“Facultiesshouldensureadequatesupport touniversity students. However, PGshould not be compulsory” NMC said it had received complaints from many college students who claimed that medical colleges were forcing them to stay in hostels provided by them and that the schoolswere paying them. The price is high. “All medical colleges and institutions must comply with the above requirements, failing which NMC may comply with clauses 9.1 and 9.2 of PGMER 2023, including fines,reduction of seats, suspension of admission, etc.,” the report said.  SOURCE : HINDUSTAN TIMES VISIT WWW.NMC.EDU.IN
